Brunch, Not Breakfast

Had my bowl of laksa alright, but later than expected.

Woke up extraordinarily early today when the alarm clock went off. Zen picked me up around 9.00 am and we headed to Corina's place. We were chatty along the way, when suddenly the cars in front of us screehed to a halt. Zen jammed the brake, creating the same screeching sound. Eeuuuu...

Just when we thought everything was ok, the stupid Toyota at the back could not stop in time and banged into us. The usual get-down-the-car-and-survey-the-damage-then-wait-for-the-driver-to-say-something scenario ensued.

The car plate was broken alright. So were the lights. The skirting was also dislocated. The body of the car was dented too, but nothing serious.

The driver was fast enough to offer to fix the damage. He talked as if he owns a car repair shop. Sure indeed he led us to a mechanical shop and asked someone to survey the damage. He took his time off puffing away while Zen's car was being inspected.

We were then asked to follow his car (driven by one of the workers) to another workshop for repair. The skirting was fixed and the lights were changed. The person in charge at the workshop told us to pick up the new number plate at another workshop, and back to the previous workshop for repaint.

Imagine going to 3 workshops just to get your car fixed. That guy must be quite loaded. I guess the car number says it all - 8888. Lesson of the day - You car should only be banged by someone rich, preferably who owns a workshop. Muahahaha.

It's mum's birthday today. Going to have a small gathering with my relatives tonight. More food. Hiak hiak. Ok, off to help my mum.

wah tiok bang by rich ppl ar.. songz bo

ah wang: Bo songz ler, delayed my breakfast nia. :P
