It's Been A While

Yeah, I know. Someone even commented on her blog that it's been a while since I updated my blog.

I 'lost' my usually-very-easy-to-access internet PC due to the office renovation. It is now temporarily placed in a meeting room. Whenever I open the door, everyone working in the room will tend to turn their heads. So you see, it's not a very good idea to use the PC while everyone else is looking at you. :D

So much has happened for the past 3 weeks.

My MMU supervisor came to visit me at the company. However, the visit was not such a visit afterall. Well, we did meet, not in the company but at the tower lobby. He just asked what and how I was coping, then passed me the evaluation form, and the end. He went off after that. Lame right? :P

Quite a number of new staffs joined the company. Got to know them when I setup up their computer profile. All very friendly indeed.

And I have more lunch mates nowadays. Don't really know how it happened, but the number keeps growing. We usually set lunch dates through email. Most of us are from different divisions/departments. So when we meet, there's sure a lot of chit chats and gossips and jokes and laughters. I must say I enjoy their company very much.

Another month to go before training ends. I'm taking the next 2 days off work and go "lepak" somewhere else. Will blog about it next week. Hehe.

Oh ya, Happy Merdeka everyone!

Painful Lah

My shoulders are aching right now. Too much of heavy lifting yesterday. Not in the gym mind you. Was shifting furniture to the temporary workspace in the office.

Today’s work will be much lighter. I’ll only observe the external technician pulling in cables to the temporary workspaces.

p/s: I’m still ‘holidaying’ in Genting Highland.

Haze

I feel like I’m in Genting Highland. When I look out from the tower, the whole place is blanketed in white (or grey). The only difference is that the air isn’t refreshing. It is stuffy and smelly. In fact, under the current condition, I will reach the end of my life sooner.

Been having a minor cough these past few days. In addition, the sneezing won’t stop – not that someone is thinking of me, it’s just the smell of the air that my body can’t accept. To make matters worse, my eye even stings when I’m outdoor.

Last I heard, visibility around this area is around 1km. But I'm very sure as of now, it is definitely less than 1km. Hmm, perhaps when I wake up tomorrow and put my hand out, I won’t be able to see it.

Everyone in the company is joking about a possible emergency break, which of course is very impossible. Reminded me of the haze back in 1997, where school was off for a week. Everyone was safekeeping fresh water in big containers, and clearing bottled mineral waters from the supermarket racks.

Hope I’ll survive this. Someone please buy me a portable oxygen tank.

Convocation

I'm having a great time in Melaka this weekend. Purposely came back just to attend my seniors' convocation ceremony, so that I'll be able to do some catch ups with them.

Attended the afternoon session ceremony today. As there was limited seats inside the hall, the not-so-important people like me had to gather under tents with a few TVs showing the proceeding inside the hall. The ground was wet from the morning rain, there was not enough chairs, and it was certainly very hot.

Anyway, all these were worth while when I got to meet my seniors after the ceremony.

It will be about another year's time till I get to attend my own convocation. Can't wait to wear the robe and put a full stop to a chapter in my life.

P/S: Photos will be uploaded once I have them ready.

Back...

I'm back in office today. Had a nice time in Kuching. Hehehe...

So many mails for the past 3 days. Renovation work has been confirmed - to start next week.

Had to clean my room a.k.a store room as well as the server room. Could not remember when was the last time I sweated in the office. Used to complain that I might die of coldness in the office. Today, the story was different. I was actually complaining that the air-con is not working.

The users finally tested my system. Feedbacks received, more work to be done. Special thanks to Chun Wei who helped me in the coding part. ; )

So tired. Going back soon. Need some sleep.
